Security

So this is a post about security. So there's been a lot of viruses being spread around and created and lots of users are looking to secure their system or rid the malware in it.

Here are some great free programs you can use:

NoScript (Add-on for Mozzila Firefox):

Sometimes you go on sites (re-directs, accidental...) that have pop-up ads or things being downloaded without your permission. This add-on blocks scrips on the page so it doesn't have ads/pop-up ads or scripts. But if you trust the site, then you can just click "enable all scripts" and everything will work.

MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials):

This is a free anti-virus/real-time security program for your computer. Developed by Microsoft, it is a GRREEAT program. I also recommend Avira/Avast! If your looking for a paid anti-virus I recomend Norton.

Super Anti-Spyware/ Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

This is two great spyware/malware/adware removers. If you think you have a virus or just want to scan just in case, download these trust-able programs and do a quick scan.

BrowserProtect:

Protects from programs attempting to re-direct you/change your homepage. I use this.

Spyware Blaster:

Prevents spyware.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

You can use super anti-spyware pro version and MSE together for effective security.
